Locks. Purchase child safety locks for oven and microwave doors as well as oven knobs. These locks will limit a child’s chances of getting burned. Choose a heat-resistant model.
Stovetop care. Never leave pots unattended on the stovetop. While cooking, always turn handles toward the back and inside of the stovetop. This lowers the chance that a child will pull on the handle of a pot and spill its contents.
Install an anti-tip device. Never leave children unattended in a kitchen.
