I.D.P. Tile Contractor
is a very small tile contractor that replaces shower pans and installs tile on bathroom, kitchen, and foyer floors; shower stalls; and exterior porches and walls. The company can install all types of tile, including natural stone tile, such as marble, granite, and slate tile. I.D.P. does not offer regrouting, tile installation on countertops, full remodeling projects, or tile reglazing. John Puie, who is a Romanian immigrant with more than ten years of tile-setting experience, founded the company in 2001. John was an engineer by training before he emigrated, and he is a hands-on owner. In fact, he does all of the estimates himself and also does almost the entirety of the work. He explains, "I am very particular about doing the work right. I take care of every detail of the job. I don't overpromise, and I won't tell you I'm going to do something and then not do it." I.D.P. carries both workers' compensation and liability insurance. The company requires a $300 minimum job and guarantees its work for five years. As John says, "I like the customer to be happy when the job is done. I have a lot of referrals from my customers and a lot of repeat customers because I know that if I do a very good job, I'll get more work."
