Chemical Technologies of Georgia, Inc.,
is a pest control company that started with little more than two business partners and a small client base. Gregory Holley, a Desert Storm veteran, and Trey Scarborough, a former accountant, founded the company in 1996. "Greg had been working as an operations manager for a large pest control company for several years," Trey says. "With his experience and my accounting background, we felt we'd make a good team." Chemical Technologies is QualityPro certified by the National Pest Management Association and focuses on pest management, termite control, termite letters, and termite damage warranties. As metro Atlanta grew, so did Chemical Technologies, which currently staffs 12 employees, many of whom have been with the organization for five years. "We don't hire from inside the industry, because we usually have to retrain technicians who have learned bad habits," Trey says. The company carries both liability and workers' compensation insurance. Trey says that dedication to customers is key to the company's success. "Our growth through referrals has been phenomenal," he says. "It's my job to make sure those great referrals keep coming."
