is a midsize company that offers residential and commercial interior and exterior painting; gutter installation and removal; installation of clog-free gutter covers, HardiePlank siding, and vinyl replacement windows; drywall work; and carpentry. Nelson Painting traces its roots back to 1977, when Steve Nelson founded the company. In 1996, Steve handed the business to his son Scott, who started helping his father at the age of 13. Scott says, "Our goal is to help our customers by increasing the value of their home. For that reason, we always use top-of-the-line paint, windows, siding, and gutters. I only offer people the kind of products that I would use myself, and every project is assigned a supervisor to make sure that things get done right." Scott's brother Matt also works for the company as the head supervisor. He states, "We always do what we say we're going to do because our customers deserve nothing less." Nelson Painting provides written warranties on all products and labor, and it carries workers' compensation and liability insurance. According to Scott, "We operate by the golden rule, and we're in the business of making people happy."
