Allowing a pet to roam free around the neighborhood is never an option, but sometimes neither is erecting a huge fence. Pet containment systems utilize a wire to conduct a radio signal emitted from a transmitter near the house. When combined with a collar that receives the frequency, the wire becomes a threshold, and if the animal gets too close, it gets a shock. In many cases, once the pet is trained properly, it will not want to get anywhere near the boundary.
