Digging in the yard
Replacing the main sewer line or the main water supply line requires digging a trench in the yard. Homeowners requiring either of these repairs should clarify, in writing if necessary, the condition of the yard once work is complete. Some homeowners are unhappily surprised at the yard's appearance after the work is done. Before digging work can start in your yard, the Utilities Protection Center must be contacted at 770-623-4344 to locate and mark underground utility lines. This process should be completed within 72 hours of your call, excluding weekends and holidays. Until the utilities mark their lines, the plumbing company cannot start digging.
Plumbing contractors
Plumbers, like any contractor working at the home, should carry both workers' compensation insurance and liability insurance. Due to the nature of plumbing repairs, it is impossible for any company to make every customer happy every time. However, some companies have far better track records than others.
