"For
the hardwood flooring, we used [#1538].
They did a wonderful job, except for
the last five percent of the work. We
had to call them back to finish it.
To do the floor, they removed the quarter
round that goes between the baseboard
and the floor and didn't put it back
when they finished. When we called them
up and told them, they were real good
about it, but then they didn't come
out for a while. It actually took about
three months to get it taken care of.
I don't think they were communicating
real well. We were actually planning
to have them do another $1,300 worth
of work that we decided not to do. We
decided not to do it, but we were billed
for it. They said that they did the
work, and I said, 'Well, no, you didn't.'
I finally had to get someone out, so
I could show them the work had not been
done and that we were not trying to
get out of paying. Once that was taken
care of, they worked with us. I would
give them a B overall." (This

had [#5646] come out and install some
laminate hardwood flooring; their work
was not good. First of all, my husband
stayed home from work to be here for
the installation, and they didn't show
up. Then when they did show up, they
didn't do it right. They weren't [#5646]'s
employees. They were subcontractors.
It is a laminate, but it is supposed
to look like a real hardwood floor.
The boards were supposed to be staggered.
They weren't. So, I called [#5646] and
had to keep calling and calling because
they were just nonresponsive. They just
basically dropped the ball and ignored
us. I got another contractor out, and
he took apart the whole floor and fixed
it correctly." (This

hired [#3967] to put in new hardwood
floors for us, and we had a problem.
First, they came out with all of the
hardwood and left it sitting in my living
room for three or four days before they
could get the man back out here to do
the work. Then, when he came, he tore
up all of my carpet—which was practically
new carpet—and then he told me that
he couldn't put the hardwoods down because
my floors weren't level. He told me
that I'd have to go back and buy new
carpet since he had destroyed the old
carpet. I did. Since then, I've learned
that my floors could have been leveled,
and I definitely could have had my hardwoods.
So, instead of getting the hardwoods,
I ended up replacing my perfectly good
carpets." (This

They never leveled the floor out, and
the pieces of wood weren't lined up
properly. We contacted them when we
saw all of these problems, and they
wanted to charge additional to fix it.
They basically ruined our floors. I
had to have it completely refinished.
I was embarrassed having anybody even
